May 2012 - Bayland Buildings wins Best of the Bay Best Commercial Contractor for the third year in a row!!  A big THANK YOU to all that voted for us. 

May 2012 - Governor Scott Walker attended the Anna's Healthcare, Inc. Ground Breaking Ceremony of their second CBRF facility.  The new 58,000 square foot facility in Sturgeon Bay includes 62 resident suites with 67 total beds, Adult Day Care, Physical Therapy, a chapel and many more amenities.  Construction is scheduled to be completed in November.  In addition to remarks from Governor Walker, the ceremony included Tama Begley, owner of Anna's Healthcare, Thad Birmingham, Mayor of Sturgeon Bay, Bill Chaudoir, Executive Director, Door County Economic Development Corporation, and Jim Thyes, Bayland Buildings.

May 2012 - Bayland Buildings is proud to be a part of the KI Hope House project. KI CEO Dick Resch, Rebuilding Together and scores of volunteers and veterans recently dedicated the KI Hope House in Green Bay as part of the national Heroes at Home veteran's housing program. Donated by KI and Resch, the once-vacant property will serve as a transitional home for a returning military service member and his or her family.

May 2012 -- David Phillips joined the commercial sales team as a sales representative.  He will work with commercial and industrial clients in the southeastern Wisconsin area.  Phillips previously worked at Portside Builders, Sturgeon Bay, and has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry.  He is a graduate of NWTC.

May 2012 -- George Johnsen has joined the Bayland Drafting department.  He's a graduate of ITT Technical Institute, Green Bay.  Adam Eisenreich has been promoted from Drafting to Estimating. 

May 2012 --  Bayland Buildings thanks the following employees for their years of service:  Paul Vanden Heuvel, vice president, 21 years; Duane Ambrosius, ag sales manager, 10 years; Anna Ambrosius, drafting, 10 years; and Don Behnke, crew, 10 years.

April 2012 -- Bayland Buildings received a Varco Pruden Buildings' 2012 Hall of Fame Award for the Grotegut Dairy project.  Buildings selected for the Hall of Fame not only represent the best projects among all of VP Buildings, they are examples of the best in design and construction within the building systems industry. 

April 2012 -- Hatco Corporation has chosen Bayland Buildings for their health and wellness clinic addition at its Sturgeon Bay manufacturing facility.  The clinic is 2,000 square feet and will provide a wide range of wellness services to the plant's employees and their dependents.  The project is scheduled to be completed in July. 

April 2012 -- Bayland Buildings is proud to announce the following promotions:  Butch Van Boxtel, from project supervisor to estimating and purchasing; Dan Wanta, from foreman to sales; and Paul Truttmann, from foreman to project supervisor. 

April 2012 -- Bayland Buildings thanks the following employees for their years of service:  Lance Vanden Heuvel, sales, 20 years; Tim Ambrosius, sales, 10 years. 

March 2012 -- Multipond America chose Bayland as the general contractor for their new sales and service office.  Bayland will be renovating an existing 24,000 square foot building.  The project is scheduled for completion in August. 

March 2012 -- FedEx Ground has chosen Bayland for a 10,000 square foot expansion to their Oshkosh distribution center.  The project is scheduled for completion in August. 

March 2012 -- Bayland is renovating the former Lineville BP in Howard and re-branding it as a Grand Central Station convenience store for Titletown Oil Corporation.  The project is scheduled to be completed in June.

February 2012 --  KI Expansion Ground Breaking.  Bayland Buildings was chosen as the general contractor for the 100,000 square foot expansion on KI's Green Bay manufacturing facility.  The project will expand manufacturing, shipping, receiving, and warehousing space.  The project is scheduled for completion in June.

January 2012 -- Bill Sabel joined the commercial sales team at Bayland.  He will work with commercial and industrial clients in the North Central Wisconsin area.  He has over 25 years of experience in the construction industry.  Most recently he was an estimator/project manager for Norcon Corporation, and president of Sabel Petersen Builders.  He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.

January 2012 -- AGRI VIEW, Kiss the Cows Goodbye-the annual contest sponsored by Bayland Buildings, Inc. announced its 2011 grand-prize winner on Dec. 29. Joe Martin, of Martin Farms, Edgerton is the grand-prize winner of the year-long mail-in contest. The grand-prize is a five-day vacation for two to the World Ag Expo in Tulare, Calif. Airfare, hotel accommodations, and admission to the grounds are included.

This is the second year of the year-long promotion that Bayland created. Each month a winner is drawn at random from entries received. A $250.00 Fleet Farm gift card is awarded to each monthly winner. Participants are encouraged to enter each month, regardless if they had won a previous month. From the 12 monthly winners, a grand-prize winner is drawn. Laurie Fischer, Executive Director of Dairy Business Association (DBA) drew the grand-prize winner at Bayland's Green Bay corporate office at the end of December.

Kiss the Cows Goodbye, It's Vacation Time was created by Bayland as an opportunity to recognize, reward and celebrate the hard working dairy farmers. "Talk to any dairy farmer, or more importantly, talk to his wife, and the thing they do the least is take a vacation off the farm," says Ashley Ambrosius, Agriculture Business Developer of Bayland Buildings. "Kiss the Cows Goodbye is our way to give back to those farmers that work so hard throughout the year."

December 2011 -- Abe Farley has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer (COO).  He is responsible for overseeing all company departments, developing internal processes and executing day-to-day strategies of executive management.  He's been with Bayland for six years.  He started as an estimator and most recently held the position of sales representative.  Farley has over 15 years experience in the construction industry. 

November 2011 -- Lynn Jones joined Bayland Buildings as Director of Marketing and Business Development.  She is responsible for all commercial marketing and brand initiatives, new and existing business development, and public relations.  She was formerly an account director with Imaginasium, Inc.  and has over 20 years sales/marketing experience.  She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

October 2011 -- Mark McGrath was promoted to Project Supervisor; Jeff Lamers to Foreman; and Ron Challis to Leadman.
